Just got word that a year after filing and many derailments in the process, the divorce has been granted. Official papers to come after the 30 day waiting period.
Not sure how to feel. Sad? A bit. So sad that it's really over and this is where we are after 43 years, but ecstatic that since it IS we are, it's
finally done.
True remorse isn't followed by a "but".

I understand the emotional mixture. It is where you are and in 30 days you can set your own course to whatever destination that you seek.

I'm sorry. This certainly wasn't what I thought would happen to my marriage either. It was good having the D completed for me since I don't like things in limbo, but it didn't help me emotionally when it was finalized. The legal end of it doesn't match the healing within ourselves.

D-Day#2: June 3, 2011 (same MOW) Separation: June 3, 2011
Divorce finalized: Feb 2012 (due to 6 month waiting period).
