I was just wondering if there is a place to go to find some kind of template for the signature that conveys the kind of information that is helpful in posting/responding to posts. I've seen it done a variety of ways but I can't seem to quite crack the code, or at least, a template could probably be helpful in general for newcomers.

I tried to write a signature and it never showed up so I deleted it. I thought maybe it was a feature for pay-users.

Go to your Profile and Click on the My Story box, you can write out your situation in there. And if you just want a signature line, click on the My Signature box and then click on Update Profile.

To create a signature go to your profile and add info into the box labeled signature. Be sure to save your profile. And then all your posts will now display your signature.
There is a character limit to the signature so long signatures could be cut short.
As for a template, helpful info to ones story is used like if you are the betrayed or wayward. Some will add the dates of d-day. If separating or divorcing, most will add that status as advice to those situations could result in different advice than one looking to reconcile.
People will often state if they have kids and ages as that can lead to helpful tips and experiences from other that have kids of similar ages.
