Just a reminder to the newer folks in NB -- its the actions that matter not the words.
My SO, fondly known as TG, continues to remind me of that. We have both been travelling 5 dasy a week for work for a while now. My schedule is more flexible than his. I have often gone out of my way so we could see each other for 'date nights' at various places around the country. In relationships, I've always been the one to do things like that...giving a bit too much effort w/o reciprocation.
Well his travel schedule just changed a lot. He's flying in tonight so we can have a date night. He's going out of his way to make time for me.
He tells me all the time how important I am to him but this is just one of many ways he shows me. It was a lovely surprise this morning to find out he's coming here tonight.
Just remember talking isn't acting. 3 years into our relationship, this matters just as much as it did on day 1.
But that's just a lot of water
Underneath a bridge I burned
And there's no use in backtracking
Around corners I have turned

I'm feeling extra gushy b/c I found a note I put in his luggage two years ago that says "i love you and can't wait to see you" on the fridge yesterday when I was getting ready to leave.
He knows what to do for sure.
