Met someone at meetup...

No, I'm not dating, and not thinking about it. Nevertheless, I met a guy at meetup who seemed nice, normal, employed, educated (PhD in engineering). He was cute enough, too.

Just gave me a boost to know there are nice, normal educated guys out there to talk to. I was able to have a couple of hours without worrying about waffle, the D, the first pre trial etc etc. No noise in my head.

Now on to finish this darn book for book club meetup...

Edit: I could start a thread to rival the dating thread entitled "awkward guys met at meetups". Made it extra refreshing to find a normal one. The meetup ladies have been great.

I met my first SO at a MeetUp, and have a good girlfriend from the same group!

It worked to help me open my social network
