After he left, the whole atmosphere here changed for the better and my home feels "safe" again.

THIS. One thousand times this. It's what it boils down to for me.

1. The bed is ALL mine.

2. The closet is ALL mine.

3. I get to control the remote.

4. Neither I, nor the kids, have to tiptoe around his sleeping schedule.

5. I can spend my money however I choose.

6. I actually have money to spend! He was a financial black hole. Still is.

7. When the kiddos are on their weekend visits...I can come and go as I please.

8. I no longer have to be on pins and needles worrying about pleasing someone who will never be truly happy.

9. I sleep like a baby again.

10. LIFE. IS. GOOD.

Every time I see the thread title I just think to myself "EVERYTHING!"

I must add on to this thread as I have been thinking lately about how much better things are with just me and the kids:

1- 1/2 the cleaning

2- 1/2 the laundry

3- 1/2 the water bill

4- the laundry actually gets put away

5- 1/2 the grocery bill--i actually save 25 dollars a week from it and am using tit to replace all of the marital furniture!

6- Did I mention 1/2 the cleaning? What's funny is that people come over and comment how much better my house looks...I was married to a slob

7- I eat what I want to eat, not what he wants to eat.

8- The kids are actually bathed at night because I'm not waiting for him to do it

S, Filed 4/17/14--YAY, ME!!
