OK, so... here is how I ended up organizing my freezer. It has one shelf on the top, and a large wire pull-out basket on the bottom:

I bought two wire baskets at WalMart for the top shelf for the bread so it won't get mashed under everything else.

Then I got a sheet of corrugated plastic from a friend, cut it to fit the drawer, and attached it front and back with zip ties.

Now I can separate the bottom drawer into meats, veggies, meals and snacks, and misc. I think it works pretty well.

Yay me :)

Wow...I'm impressed. I need to send this pic to my bff. His freezer is just awful

No one changes unless they want to. Not if you beg them. Not if you shame them. Not if you use reason, emotion, or tough love. There is only one thing that makes someone change: their own realization that they need to.

Eranda!! My parents have the same freezer drawer and finding anything is such a pain.

I am going to suggest this to them.. and then take all the credit

Seriously..such a simple fix and it works great! Good job

The wire baskets are these: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Mainstays-Freezer-Storage-Basket/17163835 I think they were like $6 a piece, they're in the stores by the dish drainers and drawer organizers. Nice thing about those is you can easily take them out of the freezer to see what in the back and on the bottom.

I got corrugated plastic stuff from a friend who works at a sign shop- but you can probably use foamcor board (in office supplies) or anything plastic you can cut to size.

Amazonia, I have the old fridge in the basement now. Perfect for vodka bottles

ah, good, a separate liquor freezer. That's the kind of organization I like.

I don't see any OtterPops or chicken nuggets. My kids would not recognize this as a freezer.

I dream of the day when I can properly organize my freezer.
