During the courtship and history of our relationship. H's #1 love was beer. That was until I was going to leave him. He's recovering now and drinking is a no tolerance behavior.

Thing is, now that he's sober, we don't have the same interests. Actually, we never did. Total opposites. We can both "appreciate" the things the other likes, but that's about it.

Anyone else with a spouse who likes different things?? What do you do to bond or spend time together?? We do have 2 little ones, so that makes it harder to spend time together, alone.

We like different sports but agree to sped time watching the other indulge in their passion from time to time. That means I will go to a sports tournament and cheer him on and viceversa.

Together -we both like watching films so go to the movies regularly and we usually both want to watch the same things.

why not try something new to both of you until you find something you both would be happy to try.... you could try fishing or salsa dancing or take a cookery course together...

We have a lot of different interests - we like different music, literature, media, but we have some important similarities. We're both interested in each other, and our values are similar (well, if you exclude her A...).
