I'm so sorry for the pain your son and daughter are suffering. It's awful to see a parent so ruthlessly self-centered and blind to the pain they are inflicting upon others.

I think they are strangers to everyone, not just their own children. There isn't enough in them for them to give anything. No empathy, love, kindness and certainly no respect. Just a big hole where their hearts should be.

Yes, nearly ExH is slowly withdrawing more time from DD. He claims "it's the job", but some mis-sent texts may tell otherwise.

At first when he partially returned from hiding, he was very in tune to her and took great offense at being talked to about abandoning us. Now he takes offense still, but is spending more and more time away from her, as if now that D is nearing final stages, he's off some kind of hook.

This is such a sad, but true thread.

It is truly all about him. Always has been, and always will. He left me (us) and when he has the kids (very limited) it's fake time and absolute bare minimum; thank God! He is so focused on his current; or next conquest these kids are inconsequential to him. He doesn't know the real them; their feelings; abilities; interests; friends. He is incapable of real. Sad sad sad.

I'm so sorry your POS has left the way he has. It's so sad to say and know that they will be better off, and you of course even though it hurts so bad, and is such a scary and confusing time. Thank goodness they have you!

I really don't understand, and could not imagine ever ever ever in a million years picking someone over my babies. Cannot imagine!
