GF asked me to attend her reunion mixer, and I need some advice... I guess mixer in this setting is pretty much like college mixers; ie a dance???... Shirt and tie, & dress trousers? Nice button down shirt w/o tie, Dockers, and dress shoes?... I would much rather over dress a bit than under... Your thoughts please?

I think it would depend on where it is being held. Maybe ask your gf for details and her opinion.

Just attended a high school reunion informal gathering this weekend with my sister (her class). We are in the midwest and the men were wearing casual-ish clothes--no jackets, no ties but no jeans either...
But I agree, gf's like to give advice on what to wear, if asked

Thank you wise SI'ers... I asked, it's at a bar, and casual... Probably will wear nice jeans and a small blue check oxford w/LS rolled up... Classic shockleader look for decades.
