He's very cute.

Spray the cat poop with Bitter Apple and let him see how much he likes it.

We used to have a chocolate lab named Charlie Brown! My youngest DD named him (she was in middle school then). Best dog ever - loved to retrieve (softball outfielder was his favorite) and to swim. Great dogs!

Oh, and to chew on things. We had to train him to only chew on his toys or rawhide bones or other appropriate things. Instead of the phone line, the steps, the trim on the car, rags, the unfinished edge on the doghouse, the doggie door on the doghouse, etc. And that was all long after the puppy years.

kernel! That's so cool. Well not the chewing DS warned me of that one day. He's pretty interested in the legs of my end tables

We are constantly redirecting right now for biting and chewing. I imagine we will be for quite some time. He's such a sweet boy though. Every time I look right at him he goes into a perfect sit because he knows it makes me happy

We went in the baby pool today. I put a very little bit of water in and stood in it with him. He explored a bit and got out. I don't want to push it now because I really want him to be a swimmer since we'll be at the cottage all the time. Just baby steps and getting him used to the world.

This is exhausting but it's so much fun.

3 days in our home and he slept through the night last night and only had one accident today. We're getting there!!

Go softly my sweet friend. You will always be a part of who I am.

CB met my parents giant Sheep Dog this weekend. He wasn't paying attention when the dog came outside. So he turned around and there he was. My dd got a picture at that exact moment.. the face says it all

They eventually played really nice together and became buddies though

Go softly my sweet friend. You will always be a part of who I am.

No one changes unless they want to. Not if you beg them. Not if you shame them. Not if you use reason, emotion, or tough love. There is only one thing that makes someone change: their own realization that they need to.

The expression on CB's face is priceless! Makes me wonder how many beats a minute his little heart was going at that second.
