SO and i are in the early process of buying a home.. I go to school full time and work full time.. Is it normal for the loan officer to want a copy of my college transcript?? Damn it seems that want your blood just to qualify you with a loan.... This process is all new to me so i dont know if this normal or not... My ex and i never got to this point in the 10 years we were married....

When I applied for our house...i had to give them both high school and college diploma's, months of pay stubs, months of bank records and we had to get a signed letter from my step dad saying that the money he was giving us was a gift and not a loan (we are paying him back anyway, but whatever).

it was crazy all the crap that we had to provide, and then re-provide.

Yep, thats what we are doing too.. We have to put $5000 in our acct so when they run our credit ( or whatever ya call it) the money will be there... I was realy frustrated last night #1 because my SO didnt ask Why they needed it and #2 because i was in a bad mood anyway ....

I get this way when im strssed out...

Yes, it is normal.

They basically want to know your WHOLE life. Seriously. They want to know your grades, your credit score, where every single dime of your income goes, etc...

It makes sense to me; I know of people who apply to a program, get the student loans, then drop out, take a refund, and keep the money. Seeing a transcript proves you were actually using your loans for what they're for.

Yeah, I remember when my loan guy asked why DirecTv pulled my credit report. I said "ummm, because I wanted satellite tv..." Good times.
