Yikes!!!

I had twins. They were both breech so it was a scheduled C-section. I never had a contraction. Never had to push.

They were about 5.5 lbs each.

The epidural did burn like a mutha though.

My little girl B twin was born with a birth defect and spent 3 months in the hospital and after 5 surgeries was home with her twin sister. The pain I experience was standing over her incubator in the NICU on Tylenol 3 and still in pain from the C-section incision.

She is doing very well now.

They are both the lights of my life and I'm proud to share my birth story with you all.

Boyo1 was born in a hospital after I had an epidural, just like nature intended. I had back labor and double contractions. Not fun until the epidural kicked in. Then I was happy as a clam and watched a movie until it was time to push.

Boyo2 decided he wanted to come out like NOW and was born 45 minutes after the first contraction (back labor again) while I was home alone with Boyo1, then 2 1/2 years old. I crawled around the floor like a dog because it hurt so much, but only for 15 minutes or so. Then the baby crowned and I freaked the freak out and called 9-1-1. XWH came home just in time to say "hello" to the 9-1-1 operator and catch the baby.

I really preferred the epidural.

3 kids. All less than 8 hour labors and 3-5 total pushes. I did have an epidural with all 3. Had the most pain with #1, but I also dilated from a 3 to a 7 in my sleep and it took forever for the anesthesiologist to get there. Prob shouldn't have given me the epidural since I was so progressed. He missed and I ended up with one of those awful headaches for 9 days post. Thank God my mother was there. #2 and #3 easy peasey. Both delivered in less than 2 hours after the epidural with very minimal pushing. I did, however, HATE being pregnant. Especially with #2 & 3.

No, not bad at all. Allowed myself to just go with whatever my body had to do to get through it. It did help that I read,... a lot! I wanted to know everything that would happen to me during a normal delivery and when to know things were not so normal anymore. I kept an eye out for any extra equipment brought into the delivery room. I knew if the medical staff were bringing in monitors and any other medical machinery on wheels that I/little broken was in trouble. I had a very good attitude during the pregnancy and during labor.
