W tells me that our 3 & 3/4 (i.e. 3.75) year old GS initiated a Skype session this afternoon to share his delight and excitement about his 2nd day of school - 'pre-K'. He's really excited about tomorrow, which is his 1st full day (8 AM -2:45 PM).

When his dad was his age, I just feared that he'd dial Capetown on our phone.... Skype - wow! Much 'hotter' communication, and no extra cost, to boot!

I was out buying new pedals for my bike, so I missed it. I'd like to have Skyped with GS, but the new pedals will allow me to use my new biking shoes, and my feet really hurt when I go more than 10-15 miles in running shoes. I used to bike a lot, stopped several years ago, and started again on July 5 this year. Biking is about as cool as Skyping with GS. (Ah, well, if I can't T/J my own thread, whose can I jack?)

My mom skypes with my 3 and 6 year old nephew and niece. She always has interesting stories to tell! It's adorable and fun!

I do it with my kids sometimes, it feels strange to me but it's a great opportunity for them to say hi to the dogs and get some laughs because the dogs get so confused!

t/j on your t/j: Good for you on the biking!

DS, you are forever in my heart. Thank you for sharing your beautiful spirit with me. I will always try to live by the example you have set. I love you and miss you every day and am sorry you had to go so soon, it just doesn't seem fair.
