Having to invite another shitty WS into my home

So, dd started K this year at a very small, private school. Before school started, there was a dinner for all of the incoming K families (the Gnat and Hello Kitty thankfully declined to attend). There was another mother sitting across from me that was there alone. About two hours into the dinner, two people walked in and announced that they were the other parents to the child of the mother that was sitting across from me. The father and his girlfriend went on and on about how great the kids was, etc. The mom got up from the table and left. She never returned.

I had a feeling that the situation hit close to home and this this girlfriend might be the OW. Well, this was confirmed yesterday by another parent. She said it was the first time that they had all been in the same room together. The OW had the balls to sit there and talk about this kid as if she was his own mother. No wonder why the mom walked out.

Anyway, I am now chairing one of the school committees and have an upcoming meeting scheduled at my house. Well, the cheater dad just joined the committee and will be coming to my home! I know this isn't my WS, but I have such negative feelings towards him that I feel like it's going to be difficult to be cordial. I feel like I'm just going to want to glare at him with the meanest look!

I haven't had a chance to talk to the mom yet. I'm hoping to get to know her a bit better and let her know she's not alone.

The best that I'd be able to muster in that situation is polite civility....."I won't poke your eyes out with a fork and YOU don't act all chummy!"

In my effort to be *concise*, I often come off as blunt and harsh. Sorry, don't mean to be offensive.

There is absolutely nothing that says that you have to be polite. Direct some hatred in his direction. It's not like he doesn't deserve it.

LOL. I'm going to have to do my best. It will be hard to not want to poke his eyes out.

Oh and his "girlfriend" was so skanky. She literally screamed OW. I think that was what really gave it away. The mom looked like such a nice, beautiful woman and this thing he dragged in was some young, slutty thing in a tight dress.

And... I think that it would be very kind of you to reach out to the *mom*.....

Feeling Consumed ( member #30592) posted at 5:49 AM on Tuesday, September 24th, 2013

I work with a couple that I always thought were nice and made such a cute couple. Then I found out that the guy left his wife for the girl he is with now, the OW. Ever since I found that out, I just can't bring myself to talk to them anymore. About all I can muster up now is a polite "hello, how you doing?" I don't even want to look at them, they disgust me. I know the girl I work with is wondering why I turned so cold, but hopefully she will figure out that I found out what she did.

It makes me sick to think of ex and OW going out with people he works with at the new company he started at and no one knowing what they did. I hate the thought of people looking at them thinking what a cute couple they are when in fact they are pure evil pieces of shit.

So I think you are lucky that you found out right away so that you can give them the stink eye when you see them. You won't have to go through the mistake I made by being nice to the couple, then having to back off.

Make sure you make that bastard uncomfortable as all hell when he comes to the committee meeting so he realizes that everyone knows was a POS he is for what he did to his wife. Having more people in his life turn on him and treat him like shit is a consequence for his actions. I'm tired of waiting for the karma bus, but at least they can suffer consequences, and you all giving him the cold shoulder would definitely be one! Have fun with it too! Little revenge through proxy!

I'm sorry, but I'd be making some well placed comments in their presence. They've got some audacity acting like that.

You know, it might be fun to really mess with him. Befriend the mom, some one did that with me and I can't tell you how much it meant to me.

You could pretend to be his friend and get him to tell you stuff, you could soooooo mess with him and he will never ever know why...

I know it isn;t productive to be vengeful, but it might feel good. Like a voodoo doll for your own X...let him take a few for Team Cheaters!
