So I've realised that over the last few months the times I feel most depressed are when I'm premenstrual and for the first day or two after coming on.
Other times when I feel sad and cry it is quite fleeting and I feel like I've dealt with the emotion and moved on.
But when in premenstrual it really lingers and I have a hard time shaking it off.
Do any of you ladies feel like this and will it get better?

I can't tell you if it gets better (I'm assuming it does), but I can tell you I am the same way. Yesterday I had to talk to WH about one of the children, and I ended up crying most of the afternoon after I hung up. Today I saw something he had written on the calendar when I was looking at a date for my sister, and I was ready to cry again. Then I realized I'm probably entering PMS time.

Yes! I'm awful for a week/few days before i come on. As soon as my period starts it stops instantly.
During the pmt time though i'm terrible. Hate being around my wh, want to drag up the same things that have been discussed a million times before, hate him for what he's done, think there's no point to anything etc etc.
I know it's pmt and i think this helps me ride it out but although there are months where i seethe inside but keep most of it in other months i really do lash out.

I had this exact experience after d-day and I remember posting about it and quite a few people saying the same.
I think I was always somewhat emotional/sad/anxious during PMS time. But once d-day hit I had a lot more to be upset about. I was barely keeping a handle on my emotions on a good day. Throw in the hormone dips and I was a sobbing, raging, mess.
Now 7 years later? It's still a rough time of the month for me, and I can pretty much guarantee if I am weepy or overly angry it's PMS time. But it is never ever tied to the affair or anything of that nature anymore.

Do any of you get suicidal thoughts during PMS? I've noticed a pattern recently that I get bad thoughts for a week or so. They subside enough for me to function and then the next month they are back.

Thanks for your replies. I'm glad I'm not alone.
I'm looking forward to a time when I don't get so depressed when premenstrual.
I never really felt low when I was oremenstrual before DDay. What a shitter.
It makes me hate ex even more.
He had no idea and I hope he gets run over by a bus and dies a horrible, slow and painful death.
Or better still, I hope he gets cheated on by his next GF!
