I just threw my back out bending over to pick up my lighter. I've had back problems before but never doing something as simple as bending over to pick something up. Usually lifting something heavy the wrong way

I knew smoking was bad for your lungs--but now it appears it's not really good for your back either

If you need me--I'll be reclining on the couch for the next few days

Are you still coming out this weekend?

WG,

Go get an e-cig. (The real kind you get from an e-cig store, not at Walgreens).

I've smoked for 40 yrs and have NEVER been able to quit. I got the e-cig about a month ago, and I have now completely quit real cigs. And believe it or not, it was completely painless. These e-cigs are so much like smoking a real cig, that I can hardly tell the difference, other than the fact that they look different.

Seriously, do it.

WHG -

I second what painpaingoaway said. I am 9 weeks smoke free today because I started vaping (e-cig). And exactly as she said - don't get the ones that look like actual cigs - get the ones that look kind of like the neuralizer in Men in Black (No, seriously they do - for the first 2 weeks using mine, I kept holding it up to people saying "Look this way" )

But in all honesty, I quit smoking 25 years ago and started again when H & I were separated (4-1/2 yrs ago) and just quit again, using vapor cigs. Again, like ppga said, if you get the right nicotine level and flavor, you can barely tell the difference, except your hand motions are different and you get used to that after a little bit.

And it's much cheaper! Hope your back feels better soon!
