So I am thinking about getting a tattoo for me. This is HUGE as I never thought I would get one. I am thinking about a butterfly. I feel that I have emerged stronger, more confident, and more beautiful just like a butterfly from a cocoon.

I would like it to be 1) not visible with summer clothes (tank tops, shorts, and flip flops) and 2) somewhere that it won't stretch or get distorted immediately with age and weight loss/gain

Any advice?

Maybe a miniature version of this or just one?

That's beautiful. Are you going to get all of them or just one of them? If all, it's tough to find a spot that will be covered up with summer clothes, unless you do it up your back like the woman in the pic did, and you don't wear crop tops or two piece bathing suits.

I have one on my pelvic bone, right about where the top of my underwear hits. It's little though (It's actually H's initial inside a heart ). That's a good place to hide one.

DS, you are forever in my heart. Thank you for sharing your beautiful spirit with me. I will always try to live by the example you have set. I love you and miss you every day and am sorry you had to go so soon, it just doesn't seem fair.

I have a small one of a rose on my left hip in the rear. I can hide it easily, but it's kind of a sexy surprise when someone sees it. I really like it as well.

I will love the light for it shows me the way, yet I will endure the darkness for it shows me the stars.

Side of your thigh (unless you wear short shorts). Middle of your back (unless you wear bikinis). When you say you don't want it visible, do you mean every single day or just for work reasons? The hip can stretch.

Love the butterflies.

I am in the process of choosing a tattoo also, I am thinking of a phoenix in the middle of my lower back, same theory as the butterflies; transformation, rebirth etc.

I am going to lose a few kilos first and that will be my reward.

The Phoenix is a great idea as well!

I would like to keep it hidden from view, so someday if I have grandkids, they will be like "I never knew grandma had a tattoo!?!"

As much as I love the picture, I think I will go much smaller. So it sounds like pelvic bone, middle of the back and the side of my thigh?
