Last night I ran 5.5 miles. I'm really thinking about doing the 10 mile race in ATL next Sunday. I'm setting some stretch goals for running and this would be a step in the right direction.

Today I'm taking the kids sailing - 1st time this year - finally! It's kinda cool and dreary but the wind is supposed to pick up and be decent so I'm hoping we can pull it off.

Tomorrow, church in the morning and then I'm still debating. The kids go back to their mother at noon and then I'll either take it easy or maybe not. IDK.

My popcorn and movie night with grandkids fell through last night because DGS was sick. Today it's lots of things around home to get ready to leave it for winter and more of same tomorrow. It will be broken up a bit by a ghost walk tonight and possibly a craft show tomorrow, both local enough to not take too long away from it all because I won't be home much during the week to do anything.

Someday my life will be more exciting than this........ haha, this is actually the first time I've been home this long since getting home last April!

Yesterday, I was off work early due to extra hours I spent at a conference this week. IrishLad was out of school early too so I got the rare opportunity to pick him up from school. We had lunch together and then went to the manufactured home lot and looked at our hope to buy in the next 2 years house. We had a gift card to Olive Garden so we got dinner to go and went to Grandpa's house for dinner and a movie. Today, house cleaning and then the pumpkin patch. Tomorrow, football and homemade chilli I love the fall

It's my birthday weekend!!

Friday was fantastic- after getting smothered with gifts, flowers, candies and cards at school from my students- my besties took me out and we danced to our favorite local band all night. Great time!

Saturday I spent most of the day recovering on the couch. Ahem. Getting old sucks. :)

Today I am going to see Les Mis with my 13. We love this show and have been looking forward to this for months! Tonight I have plans to grab a drink (iced tea for me, please!) with a new friend. :)

Need to fit in grading papers and cleaning bathrooms somewhere since I have a dinner party planned forTuesday night.

Great weekend so far!!

Happy Birthday PR!! You deserve a great weekend. Enjoy LM - it's my favorite! Seen it close to a dozen times, counting a few local high school productions along with Toronto and touring company ones. Always great!

The ghost walk last night was fun.

Happy birthday, PR. And PINK ROCKS, saw her last week with DD16 out here in Cali. Best show ever (aside from the Pink Floyd 'The Wall' concert in Berlin in 1990).

Spent Thursday evening kick starting the weekend meeting up with other volunteers to put the finishing touches on our local art and wine festival. Had free food and wine served and enjoyed a rare 70 degree evening outside on the grounds of a beautiful winery.

After that finished the evening having a night cap at my favorite local bar, hanging out with my best friend and visiting with a local jazz pianist who has many stories to tell about playing with some big names.

Friday night was GNO at my house with loads of good foods, wine and laughter.

Saturday volunteering at the local festival, running the wine booth. Same on Sunday just this time working the parking lots; now I am resting at home, feet raised up, watching some movies and enjoying a bottle of wine.

Eagerly waiting for DD16 to come home from her first get-together at boyfriend's house; she is being introduced to the sisters today and grandparents

Happy birthday, PR!

Today is the first day I haven't been on call for work in about 120 days. I've been happily running errands around town, ignoring my cell phone and computer and enjoying the freedom... for the next eight months or so until it all starts again.
