My nephew is such an inspiration! He has lost over 100 pounds in about 16 months......he logs his trials on fb, he wrote this a couple of weeks ago:

Significant change doesn't happen overnight. It takes a vast amount of patience and effort. There are no true shortcuts to any lasting progress and achievement, for there shall be an even easier path to regress. The greatest efforts and sacrifices that you put in are the most rewarding, because it is then that you realize how much that change really means to you and what you were willing to do to achieve it.

I have this tacked on the wall of my cubicle at work so I can read it every day. Hope that it helps someone else too.

That is wonderful. I agree...he rocks!

No one changes unless they want to. Not if you beg them. Not if you shame them. Not if you use reason, emotion, or tough love. There is only one thing that makes someone change: their own realization that they need to.

How mature and insightful he is- and that saying is supremely appropos for reconciliation, isn't it? He does rock.

That really is awesome.

DS, you are forever in my heart. Thank you for sharing your beautiful spirit with me. I will always try to live by the example you have set. I love you and miss you every day and am sorry you had to go so soon, it just doesn't seem fair.
