Isn't she cute? She's a Chihuahua mix, so this is as big as she's going to get. She's a rescue. Her time was up at the shelter and she was scheduled to be put down today if nobody adopted her over the weekend. She was the first one I saw when I walked in and that was it for me. She's loves to snuggle and give kisses and my son is having a blast with her.
Here she is at the store where the shelter had a mobile adoption set up:
And here she is a few hours later. Snoozing on the couch right next to me. She was worn out after sniffing every inch of my house and stashing her nylabone so nobody could find it

You're awesome for saving this adorable baby. I keep telling my husband that if we ever win the lottery, we'll need a home with serious land, because one of my first acts will be to empty the animal shelters and bring 'em all home.

Rescue dogs are the best. Got one myself. And right now she's sacked out beside me on the bed. I'm waiting for her to start snoring.
Angel is adorable and I'm sure she'll have many wonderful years with you.

lieshurt, but I'd bet Angel doesn't take up nearly as much room as Roxy. Sometime later tonight, Roxy will curl up at the foot of the bed on my side. More room there since I tend to sleep curled up.
ETA: Roxy is also mixed-breed. Shepard, beagle and possibly Corgi... but mostly attention hound.
