I am torturing myself by reading Julia Phillips, " You'll Never Eat Lunch in this Town Again." Full of affairs and drugs and justifications. In one part she confirms with an affairee that really, the people they would want to have sex with aren't people they would want to talk to. Yuck! But this is probably very common if not the norm.
Every time I see someone around me getting divorced I just assume that there was an affair. I also assume that the others who are angry at their spouses are probably pursuing affair but haven't been caught yet.
What makes me feel so different from everyone else then? Is Reconciliation now a rarity? Do people who stay with a WS just don't tell anyone? Is it easier to forget about when you leave the WS and get on with life?
I do believe that the difference with SI and the general populace lies with the Wayward forum. I think people taking responsibility for affairs and trying to change are really the 1% of society.
I'd cue up the clappy guy if I were at all computer savvy. SI Waywards are awesome and I wish them the best in their journeys.
As to people as a whole? I think they mostly suck.

Right Track...
It's hard not to assume the worst in people, mostly because they never fail with disappointing us
But I do try to look in the bright side of things and I if I see someone trying to better themselves, I will do what I can to help support them
Whether reconciling or divorcing, it's all a battle to heal and move forward. It takes strength and determination and every day that someone puts out that type of effort is another day that they've conquered.
"Don't give up, the beginning is always the hardest." My Mom:)
My tolerance for stupid shit is getting less and less.
