Okay, #1 I'm sober, and #2 I don't think I will be much up to making this, this yr but I think someone should benefit. I usually make it for Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's called coquito and it's kind of like a hispanic eggnog. The recipe is a family one so I hope someone enjoys it:
Coquito
Ingredients:
2 cans of coconut milk
1 can of cream of coconut
2 cans evaporated milk
1 can of condensed milk
cinnamon sticks (around 5-6)
6 egg yolks
1 cup boiling water
1 tbs vanilla extract
1 pinch of salt
1 bottle of rum (I use Bacardi gold)
Directions:
-Boil cinnamon sticks in water until you have a cup of cinnamon water. Let cool
-beat the egg yolks
-mix egg yolks, condensed milk, evaporated milk and half of the water. mix well with spoon
-mix in remaining coconut cream, coconut milk,vanilla, salt and other half of water with cinnamon sticks
- heat over low heat and mix all together, (do not let it boil) for about 5-10 mins.
-take off heat and allow to cool.
- once cooled add in rum, tasting as you go to make sure it's to your liking.
-bottle and add a cinnamon stick in each bottle.
-Refrigerate and enjoy!!
You can drink over ice, you may get coconut chunks once it cools, that is normal. Hope you guys like it.

yum! Except for the coconut it sounds a lot like rumchata.

Unagie thanks for sharing your recipe it sounds awesome! I found a recipe online for Coquito last year but it used Coco Real which made it really grainy. Your recipe sounds so much more smooth and delicious I'll definitely make it this year

How long does this Christmas drink stay good? I doubt we would be able to drink all of it at once because it sounds like it makes a large amount.

A former brother-in-law used to make this every Christmas Eve. It was so dense, you could put it in a glass bottle, and if you dropped the bottle, it would bounce! Not to mention the full bottle of rum in it. Very yummy memories.

My son dated a Puerto Rican girl and her mom spent Christmas with us one year, and brought a 2 liter bottle she filled with this drink for us. She was trying to tell me what was in it- after i had had about 6 ounces of it and couldn't stand up very well...lol. She said basically the recipe you used, but her English wasn't good so she was saying the yellow of the eggs, etc and then for the rum she said one, one, i don't know? I said cup? and her daughter said liter? and she said YES! So in a two liter bottle with a quarter left empty there was one liter of rum! Bacardi also. No wonder I got sideswiped! It was so smooth I couldn't tell until I tried to stand. It was awesome and I still make it occasionally.

Welcome that's awesome lol.
Sad its pretty dense but awesomely delish.
Sister tbh its never lasted more then a week to a week and a half when I make it. I end up making a lot to give out to friends. I have no idea how to reduce ingredients to make less lol.
