If your post is just plain text - nothing using the bold, italics, quote, image, emoticons... - it will look like nothing happened when you preview.

Just to further explain -
If I do nothing *special* - no bold, italic, smileys, etc...
When I hit the PREVIEW button the text box shrinks to the size of the post I have written and and EDIT box appears. I click on that and I can edit my text.
If I bold or italic or
quote
something, in the text box it appears with the [command]. When I preview, it all shows up exactly as it will when I post.
So gonna, you should see *something* happen no matter what you have typed when you hit preview.

hello
Thanks for the explanation. It's not working that way for me, though. The only thing that happens is that while I'm typing, the outline of the box is yellow. When I hit the preview button it turns a different color -- kinda a periwinkle (bluish silver) -- but the message inside the box looks exactly the same as when I typed it originally.

yellow? When I'm typing in this box, the outline is a light blue color. When my mouse is elsewhere, the outline turns grey. It's also grey when I preview. I don't know if that means anything or not.
