Nature Girl, did you sign your kids up for an angel tree anywhere? There are people like me that it makes our Christmas to shop for a child/teen.

the standard present from mom - a box of honeycrisp apples from upstate NY. not expecting anything else from anyone.

NatureGirl - as suggested by pentup be sure to check into an angel tree or your town's human services dept. In my town they hold multiple different toy/gift fundraisers, with another one scheduled for tomorrow. they always have a big turnout because its for the kids.

We aren't exchanging gifts this year. Dh is graduating from his very long program and he's done next week!!!!

We had a finite amount of money and decided to take the kids on a trip. So this is our Christmas/Celebration trip. The kids will only get a few little things. Instead we'll get out of this cold weather and spend time together.. something there has been way too little of this year. I am really excited.

Go softly my sweet friend. You will always be a part of who I am.

Nature Girl, I used to get food and gift cards from a local church for the holidays. See if it's not too late to sign up your family. I wish I had known sooner, I could have put an extra something (besides glitter) in your card.

what i would like more than anything is to heal my broken shoulder so i don't need surgery. what i will probably get is a pandora bead or perfume from my dd. maybe get to see my son n grandbabies, but nana is gonna suck at the big Christmas this year. can't lift a turkey or ham, or carve a prime rib, so maybe we will start a new tradition with chicken n dumplings. if i cheat n use the frozen dumplings it will work. dont know what i will manage for crafts for grands though, we made a gingerbread house last year. any ideas for one handed holiday cheer for 5 n 7 y/os? and NG, sometimes love is the best present ever, they will always remember that far beyond the broken toys with dead batteries. maybe u have a few extra cents for some baking supplies? my kids always loved the sugar cookie decorating n candlelight service on Christmas eve.

eta: i got the christmas chipmunk! OMG... it's a sign...lol

SO got my gift a month or so ago. We went to an auction and he got me something cool. I thought he was buying it for himself but he surprised me! It was too big to wrap so he just carried it in for me.

I love it (and him).

I think dd will get me something like a cd or a stuffed animal. Not sure, but it is never something super big. Usually delivered with a hug which is awesome.

Someone got me some cookware off my wish list- I suspect my sister-in-law.

I cheat and look to see what has been purchased.
