Has anyone done any facial cosmetic enhancing? Juvederm, botox? Anything? Thinking about doing something and wondered if anyone had done anything like that, and the results, experiences etc.

I posted a thread on this a few months back but don't know how to find it...

I have done botox - meh, is my opinion.

but would like to do Juvederm. I believe people here have tried it and loved it.

I don't frequent this board much - so its a real coincidence that I see this topic.

Just yesterday I had botox and filler - juvederm.

I love both of them - especially the filler.

Keep in mind the change you see is VERY subtle. There won't be any dramatic changes.

The botox lasts 3-4 months. The filler about 6 months.

All the ads will tell you that they last longer, they don't. Here's the thing - yes, botox or filler might last more than 4 months but its wearing off every day. So you might start out with say 100 units on day 1 and at 3 3/4 months you have maybe 50 units left - so technically thats 4 months. Same with the filler, it gradually disapates so at 6 months you will only have a tiny bit left.

I don't know if I'm making sense the way I'm explaining it.

Some of the filler does stick around for a long while and they claim that you can "build it up" and eventually need less and less. I've been getting filler for a few years now and if any has "built up" it sure hasn't been much.

All that said - its not cheap either. BUT I like it and I like the effect it gives.

If you have any other questions, feel free to pm.

I've only done Botox once and I loved it. I would do it all the time if I could scrounge up the money. I keep checking group on.

Mine didn't last nearly 3-4 months. I would say more like 8 weeks. And I was one that it took a week to start to work on AND I had a big bruise on my forehead. And even with all of that, I would do it again!
