And do remember to keep the names of each lawyer that you talk to and see. Because if they have already officially spoken to you, they can't represent her. So be sure to talk to all of the really good ones .... or the really inexpensive ones.

Imagine a ship trying to set sail while towing an anchor. Cutting free is not a gift to the anchor. You must release that burden, not because the anchor is worthy, but because the ship is.

VAR is a good idea. Just tell her in front of witnesses that you have one and will be using it during conversations with her. Also have that disclosure recorded on the VAR.
