I am a hairdresser and have done a ladies hair for 20 years. We know each other really well. I told her about catching WS out and she said meet up for coffee. She listened and sympathised what a *****!!! etc like all my friends have.

Then she went on to tell me about she is unhappy with her 33 year marriage is having an affair with childhood sweetheart. Clearly totally in the fog!!! Her eyes were sparkling as she told me how they meet up (dog walks, picking him up when he was supposed to be on a run)changed her phone so email and FB all time.

Then what he says about his wife; overweight, needy, doesn't work etc. This guy earns loads so you can bet at one time he was happy to have her at home. I was fuming.

This sensible woman is like a giddy teenager. I told her be very careful as she plans to leave husband and this guy works in another country. I can see her leaving and man staying in his comfort zone with wife. Also reminded her that her husband may be amicable now but she could lose a life long friend if she doesn't show him a smidge of respect. Whole experience left me cold but gave me an insight how people actually take leave of their senses.

What double standards she has Meredith! I don't know how you managed to stay calm and give her advice, I think I'd have given her the length of my tongue.

I think you're right though, she is in cloud cuckoo land but she deserves all she has coming to her and more. Where do these people get off thinking is acceptable to live like this then discard a faithful partner when it suits them?

Good luck with your own situation, sending hugs and positive thoughts

Please forgive the humor:

If this lady is one of your clients, I would be tempted to shave her head next time you get her in the chair!
