Loved reading it - read it on command of a girlfriend and consumed it!

Beyond-unusual FOO, but a fascinating look at the resilience of (some) people - and the adaptability of others who are not resilient.

The world is an amazing crazy quilt and this was a well-written story about some of the more amazing patches and stitches.

I really liked this Memoir as well. Amazes me how some people "make it" and others in the same family fall apart.

When the mother reveals the ring. I wanted to reach through the page and throttle her!
