I need a hand-held (electric is fine) spot-remover machine for some urine stains I can't get up.
My dog is getting older and has had a couple of accidents and the canned spot shot or resolve isn't doing the trick.
Recommendations?

Not electric, but Folex cleaner. Works great! Is about $5. Can find it in most of the big box stores, but it is always on a low shelf because it is cheap. Know professional cleaners who use it.
I also have an electric carpet shampoo machine, but for day to day spots, Folex.
Edited because somehow electric became biased??

I've tried two Bissel ones that work pretty well. Little Green and the Spot Bot. The Spot Bot is handy because you can just set it down, but you will have a noticeable circle where you cleaned. It has a hose attachment, but it's a bit cumbersome. If you would use that more, I'd recommend the Little Green because its easier to use.

Natures Miracle works as our spot remover. I try to rent the rug doctor ( or other steam cleaner) every 6 months.
Good luck!

I have the Bissel SpotBot for Pets and it works great on pet stains. It does leave a little circle, but that goes away once the spot is completely dry and you vacuum.

We have the Bissel SpotBot for pets as well, and it has worked wonderfully. But... The stains we've used it for are cat puke, not urine.
The thing with urine is it gets deeper than the SpotBot can take care of, so the SpotBot might get the visual stains, but you won't get rid of what went down into the padding. That can encourage the dog to use it again (or other animals to go there in the future.)
I echo Kajem on the Nature's Miracle - the key to it is following the instructions to completely wet the area and let it dry on its own.
For any surface stains after you've done that, the SpotBot would probably be a great choice.

We used the SpotBot with a solution made of Nature's Miracle and it did wonders for our carpet. We had an aging dog and, later, two kids being potty trained while the oldest one tried to set a world record for the most dropped food/drink in a 25 square foot space (she loved that hallway; I have no idea why).
Long live the SpotBot!
