Let's see:

Flowers in the Attic

Matilda

Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood

Precious

and

Gaslight (even though this is not a parent situation)

Not movies that focus entirely on the Mom, but movies with NPD Moms:

Wedding Crashers

Throw Mama From the Train

Gypsy (from the fifties or sixties?)

The Grifters

Precious, Bashed on the Novel Push by Sapphire

Carrie

Flowers in the Attic

Just saw August: Osage County.

So much FoO and dysfunction crammed into one movie!

Meryl Streep is awesome in it. (with Trigger Warning)

Running With Scissors

Not the parents, but the psychologist who 'adopts' him - there is a scene where he wants to build a shrine to his poo

The parents have other problems

I watched Gaslight last year. It was eerie seeing things done to another person that were done to me. Seeing her react in similar ways to me. So unnerving, yet freeing!

mchercheur, I read that linked thread and ....wow.... I think they modeled Meryl Streep's character in August: Osage County after your MIL. If you see it, I think it will hit close to home!
