We closed on the house this morning. This is a first house for both of us and it's kind of surreal. We were over this afternoon and it still felt like we were snooping around someone else's house.

..sure beats throwing away rent money every month!!

I completely agree with SMY.
Take one payment, divide by twelve and apply that extra bit to your principal each month.
You can have your house paid off years earlier!
Oh...and get to know your local Home Depot (hardware store) VERY well!

XWH #1 - legally married 18yrs. 12+ OW (that I know of).
