I have had a few dogs that eat underwear.

My fur baby now (GSD) eats underwear, socks, pull-ups, feminine hygiene products, shoes, but REALLY LOVES shoestrings, eats them out of our shoes, and paper towels. I posted a pic in one of the picture threads about a year ago of her in the kitchen surrounded by the remains of a bulk store package of paper towels. It looked like it had snowed in the kitchen.

All of my dogs (male and female) have had a weird underwear fetish. I had one that would steal underwear and literally chew the crotch out of it! I had a whole slew of crotchless panties without intending it!

The worst is if I forget to close the bathroom door during that time of the month. I have one that will tip over the trash (it's covered) and dig through it. ONce I came home and almost vomited when I saw my living room. It's the only time my dog has made me literally sick.

Our female pug loves to roll around on our freshly used bath towels. Can't leave them on the bed for two seconds. I think it's the same thing.

Our puppy likes to eat my hair. If we're cuddling, he'll work up to where my hair is and just start chewing. Or he tries to get the hair that's in my brush. He also loves yarn/string.

It makes his poops fun as we usually have to pull hair or string out of his ass.

He hasn't gone for panties or socks yet. But he does love tissues if he can get his mouth on them---he prefers them used. Which makes me gag. I have a mucous thing. Gross.

Thanks for the replies.

We do try to keep everything up. Once and awhile we forget. She also has figured out a way to body check the doors open. If I don't shut my door just right, she walks by it and throws her hip into it so it bounces open. That's usually to get on the bed, but Hallelujah if there's a laundry basket there.

Wow. This thread made me realize I apparently have an angel dog. He's my first dog ever, is 6yo, and never chews anything other than his own food, treats and toys. I leave socks, shoes, and yes panties around and he's never touched them.

This thread is cracking me up and I'm so relieved to read that one of my dogs isn't a total freak.

The weirdest thing my first rescue dog has ever done is nibble on my leather shoes. I realized she was teething when she outgrew it.

She is so well behaved and low maintenance that I was pretty shocked when my second dog started hoarding my dirty undies.

It started right after she gave birth to her puppies and I would find her nestled in piles of dirty undies that she somehow got out of the hamper. Thankfully she never ate them, but I caught her rubbing herself all over them a couple of times.

I was so embarrassed about it that this is my first time admitting it.

Another time I was having a party at my house in med school. The same dog walked out of the bathroom with a used tampon hanging out of his mouth like a cigar.

Omg, did we throw that party together? I had a dinner party during which my dog did that exact thing. My stomach still freezes in painful embarrassment when I remember that!!
