My mom has started dating again. She has had two dates with a guy and wants to say thank you but no thank you. What should she say? I know not to list anything "wrong" with him. Any handy catchphrases?
Thanks!

"Thank you for the opportunity to get to know you. However, I do not feel we are a match and it would be best to move on. I wish you the best of luck in your search. Regards....."
Short, sweet and to the point.
No one changes unless they want to. Not if you beg them. Not if you shame them. Not if you use reason, emotion, or tough love. There is only one thing that makes someone change: their own realization that they need to.

I generally say,
"I appreciate you asking me out, but I'm not interested in taking this any further. Good luck in your search."
or
"Thanks for texting me, sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I've enjoyed getting to know you, but I'm just not "feeling this". I wish you good luck in finding someone special".
^^^or some variance of "Thanks, but no thanks"
