I'm so relieved to find others in similar situations. My WS has similar responses. She's in IC and it's helping her gain some clarity about FOO issues and the resentment she built up in our relationship as her way of self preserving. She claims remorse, but doesn't show it the way I read about other WSs on here. The relationship issues contribute to that I think. We decided to begin couples counseling to provide a safe space for her to "sit in," receive, and address my pain from the As. And she's giving me everything else I need to work toward R. I've come to realize that even in the familiar patterns there are variances. This is probably a variance some of us share. I'm worried your WH is resistant to IC. If he's not invested them simply going won't do much. However, if he truly engaged you might see the remorse you are looking for.
