Anyone here feel like they can count off the passages of their life by the Tonight Show?

I can remember as a really, really, young child hearing my parents talk about Jack Paar and something he said on the Tonight Show but I don't remember ever watching it, probably because it was on past my bedtime.

When Johnny Carson was host and I was a little older, during the summer my mom let me stay up and watch and I thought I was so cool.

Then I remember being a young wife and mother when Johnny Carson left the tonight show and watched Jay Leno's first show. I rocked my babies to sleep many nights while watching the Tonight Show.

I remember watching SNL on many Saturday nights while waiting for my girls to come home because their curfew was always midnight. Jimmy Fallon was always a favorite.

Now my girls are all grown up and on their own. I watched Jay Leno's last show. This week I am watching Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show.

The moral of the story? I think I watch too much TV.

Act as if what you do matters. It does. William James
