I'm so embarrassed. Or not.

I bought a book on my Nook last night that is totally out of the norm for me - a chic lit book called "Lick" by Kylie Scott. (The name alone is enough to make you roll your eyes). And I loved it. I stayed up until 1 in the morning reading it.

So campy, so ridiculous, but so romantic. I want to be a 21-year old, naïve and simple architectural student who wakes up in Vegas, married to one of the biggest rock stars in the U.S. (with a 5 karat ring and his name tattooed on my left butt cheek). And have no memory of the night before, nor a real understanding of who the guy is, but ultimately fall in love. Because of course his rugged, rough and extremely HAWT exterior covers a gentlemanly heart of gold.

Oh my. I'm turning into a dirty old woman!

(P.S. - this coming from a gal who HATED 50 Shades. This one was SO much better!)

LOL!!!

I'm sooo happy that there are eReaders out there now. I used to cover my paperback bodice rippers with brown paper bag to save myself a few blushes over my reading material.

I hated "50 Shades" as well. I may have to check out "Lick".

So what did I do today? I bought the second in the series - Play. And I read it from cover to cover. Now, that ridiculous guitarist is so lame... I need the drummer!!!

I am completely not right in the head today.

I mentally started writing my own chic lit, based on what I know (electric utility business)... Perhaps the first book is "Electrified..."

From the dust jacket: Stephanie knew it was going to be a long, hot week when Hurricane Eugene swept through her seaside town, knocking out power during the hottest spate of August weather ever recorded. But she never imagined the real storm that was brewing - Charlie, the ruggedly handsome lineman, whose best tool wasn't in his bucket truck. Charlie's arrival promised to turn the sultry days into steamy nights... and melt the ice that had long encapsulated Stephanie's heart.

OK. Done amusing myself. Is it a full moon today, because I feel completely nutty!!!

LOL! Sounds like that movie with Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher. They wake up married, one of them was wealthy I believe. Also end up falling in love!!!
