So....I decided to open a dependent care account...despite everyone that said "Use it or lose it" to me ....which I know. BUT.....I needed to do something to help lighten the $85 a month blow to my paycheck that my medical insurance was going to have..... and low and behold...taking out $250 a check pre-tax and having them mail me a check.....tax-free.....for childcare....and even with my $40 some dollar increase in healthcare ....I am getting about $70 MORE per paycheck now!
I won't even notice the tax difference at the end of the year because I've never gotten a childcare credit since my sister watched my daughter for free.
AND, I will STILL get to claim partial credit on my taxes because what goes into the account is only part of what I pay to daycare!
I feel smart today.
I also took a chance and was able to extend my forbearance on one of my loans...which helps tremendously....that way once I get closer to paying off my car and credit cards....my student loans won't feel so strangling.....
Things are looking up a little bit.....and I'm finally able to enjoy the sunshine of Spring for once...
Today is a good day.

Good job!! This is no miracle though, this is the result of your intentional planning. Give yourself credit for this stuff, because it does pay off in the long run.

So then the big question is....how much of that $70/month are you putting toward which debt?

I don't know what a dependant care account is bit I'm thrilled that you've found some sunlight on this stormy issue.
I may have reached a point where I'd piss on him if he was on fire.... eventually!!

Groceries!!!! I spend a lot of money on food and rarely eat out...but I prefer to eat nutritious, cheaper meals at home than to waste my money eating out. I'm always struggling to scrape up enough for food so this gives me some alleviation!!!
