A mutual friend of ours called me Saturday to pass on a message. It was on voice mail. I should have just deleted and ignored. But being the good American citizen that I am, I called xSO and left him a message.

Why did I do that? Sheez!

I was doing so well too. I deleted all photos of him, got a new email account, and threw out all the trinkets he had given me (that felt GOOD!!)

Oh well, onward and upward!!

I left my XH in 2005. It took until 2007 before I was able to successfully establish NC. (which I have maintained since)

I remember how hard it was at first. Especially when he would go on these fishing expeditions with his emails. But eventually I got to a point where I could do it. And then one day it was like whoa, how long has it been?

You can do it!

12/18/15 found out my now EX boyfriend was trolling CL for underage girls. From the cops. The fun never stops.

Forgot to add, he's a total A-hole! He's a retired police officer and thinks he's still all that. He still thinks women are dying to have him because of the uniform. What uniform? What badge? They are no more. For a 60 year old man, he has a lot of maturing and growing up to do.

He never has/had the decency to respond to emails/texts/voice mail. UNLESS, of course, he wanted me to spend some time with him in his apartment. Oh, then he'd call non-stop!

Glad he's moved so I don't have to see his mug any longer.

Okay, rant over...just needed to vent! I feel tons better!

After all, I do take responsibility for even giving him the time of day. Loneliness will do that to a lady! Won't happen again. I'll get a pet piranha rather than deal with this craziness.

(((((LineIntheSand))))

You'll get there. Don't worry about it. Does your mutual friend know you guys are split up? Next time, ignore. Not your job to relay messages.

Anyway, no one here is going to beat you up about it though, since I would be totally amazed if there was anyone in this forum that hasn't done this at some point.....

Remember, he is not the right one for you. He really can't be what you need. It isn't personal. You just aren't a good match, kinda like a leopard and a gazelle.

ETA: Just saw your prior post. I think a pet piranha would probably remind you of him...best to stick with bunnies and kitties....

No judgement here whatsoever. I'm the fool who went and visited my ex this past weekend while he's on bed rest for a broken leg after he just broke my heart 2 weeks ago. (slamming head on desk). Listening to messages is so hard to resist.
