How do you password protect texts and pictures on the IPhone?

You can require a passcode to access the entire phone ( except for 911 calls)

Photos can be stored in an app like Photo Safe or KeepSafe that req another code for free.

Thanks twisted. I thought there was a way to protect an album but I was not sure.

you can also back up everything to the iCloud.
