Last night as we went to bed, I realized Wbf was reading, "Not Just Friends"! He is good about reading things but he generally doesn't take the initiative to do it himself. Usually, I buy the book, bring it home, and tell him I would like him to read it. This time, he picked it up for nightly reading on his own! It might be a small win, but it is a good one.

LL, this seems better than good! I would view it as a pretty big win, especially as he took the initiative to read the book.

Maybe it's a sign of real growth for Mr LL

I agree that this is a BIG win. I'm so glad to hear it!

I have to agree it's a win...mine is not good about reading...he's had 3 books waiting for him for the past 9m and while he's committed to R he's not a reader and has used them as coasters. One session with a new MC last night and I came home to him reading the books in front of the hockey game...I'll take it! Small win or not, it's the small things that add up and make a difference...enjoy it :)

I read it many months ago. It was a great book and I still refer to it about setting boundaries, etc. That is partially why this was such a surprise... as it was many months after I had purchased it and hadn't made any mention to read it since I bought it. I had originally purchased it for me and got him "How to help your spouse heal from your affair" to read. Which he did at the time.
