Please be safe. My 2 DDs are in North County along with my step daughters and their families. They're safe for now but with these damn winds you never know.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I'm just the county above you all and we can smell the smoke.

It's not been a good day.

Thank you for thinking of us. We could use prayers, and an easing of these winds and temps.

God bless our firefighters.

We were notified school has been cancelled for tomorrow, hoping everyone else is safe.

We are pretty far from the areas being evacuated but still scary to see the dark smoke in the skies.

Praying all are safe.

Thinking of all of you and sending prayers. My girls are in San Marcos and attend college there. I have family all over SD County so I'm trying to keep in contact.

Right now there aren't any winds like there were yesterday, but we know that can change. Again please stay safe and if you can stay indoors and out of the smokey/ashy air.

((((to all))))

Yeah, the smell of smoke is all over the place. Damned Santa Ana winds came so unexpectedly early this horribly dry year.

Imagine a ship trying to set sail while towing an anchor. Cutting free is not a gift to the anchor. You must release that burden, not because the anchor is worthy, but because the ship is.
