So last night was my last night in the marital home, which still needs a bit more work before going on the market. Tonight I will be in my new place for the first time. Someone asked me if I felt nostalgic last night and I don't think that was the feeling. I lived there for 8 years...the longest I have lived anywhere my whole life. I don't feel particularly attached to it, and maybe now I will stop having those noghtmares about the basement flooding all the time (water issues suck).
So what am I feeling? Tired is probably the closest I can come to what the feeling is. Just tired.
I think my kids were feeling it a bit this morning, because the next time it is my custody day they will be in the new place with me. Hopefully I'll have the beds set up by next week.

Apology. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Just a thought
Hopefully I'll have the beds set up by next week.
Instead, have them help to the best of their abilities. Give them a sense of ownership.
Damned glad to see emerging from the gates of hell.

I was in my marital home for 24 years, and moved out a year ago. It is now in danger of being burned down in the San Diego County fires. I feel nothing. To me, it's just wood and stucco.
The good memories of that home are in my heart, the bad are etched in my mind.
