I am so very sorry. 
I had to put down my beloved 10yo cat just last month. I feel your pain and I am so sorry.
You did all you could, and you loved him with your whole heart.

Lori, So sorry to hear about this. I know how devastating this is. I lost my 13 year old kitty Tuesday morning & I am grieving her loss. She wasn't particularly ill---just not quite herself for the past few days. I found her Tuesday morning.
Know that you gave him a good life. Hugs.
