Today I am tired and kinda meh, very very very mild anxiety. I feel like the work I've done to improve my sleep, and the exercising I've been doing, have been big helps.

I finally addressed a sleep issue that I've been having, today. Basically the sun wakes me up around 5:30-6:00 a lot of mornings, and that's earlier than I actually have to get up, and it throws me off really badly (I am, at least for the moment, very sensitive to sleep disturbances). It did so today and I got fed up and decided to cover my window. Obvious, right? Not so obvious when you're tired all the time...

I grabbed a white and a black twin sheet at goodwill and put them up with thumbtacks. Not fancy, but it was quick and very effective.

One day at a time. Maybe some day it'll flip over and most of my days will be clear headed and rested.

If they're not strong enough or you want something prettier over time, search "blackout curtains" on Amazon. They hang just like regular curtains but keep out ALL the light. I used then when I lived really far north and the sun would rise at 3am.

Oh, blackout curtains. I know I had heard about something like that somewhere.

Good idea. I just needed something ASAP because I was so tired of that early sunrise. :)

Yeah... sleepy and very mildly depressed most of the time just isn't going to fly. Nothing like making a lot of life changes to highlight one's current limitations.

ETA: And of course you'd suggest Amazon.

I buy my kids the Pottery Barn ones…you can catch them on sale and they make the rooms very dark! Perfect for kids that have to go to bed at 8pm when it is still daylight outside!

That's a good idea.. I didn't think of blocking out the light in my daughter's room, too.

Hmm... now that I think of it, she may like some memory foam (she loves my sister's room--it's darkened and my sister's bed has memory foam).
