does anyone know what a VAR is? How it is used and if it really works. also where to buy one?

Voice activate recorder. I've never used one but have read posts where others have found proof when using them (cathing WS talking to OP in the car). I think you can get them at pretty much any electronics store I.e. Best Buy, Radio Shack etc.

You can also get another kind that's a bit different. Mine was like a very small one way phone. So you buy a paid phone plan (based on time or days) for it and cell provider will install a SIM card. Then when you want audio, dial the number and it opens a phone line wherever it is placed so you can listen live.
