WW picked up herpes from one of her affairs. OH HAPPY DAY!!!! Great job babe really proud of you.

Question is there a blood test for herpes or do I have to wait for lesion. I went to dr and asked to be tested for all stds and they said I didn't have chlamdyia or HIV. I asked what about herpes and nurse said I need to wait for lesion. Does anyone know anything different? Would really like to know if it is festering in my body.

There is a blood test that will see if you have antibodies to HSVI or HSV2. Fun times, BTDT, so sorry you get to put up with it, too

Yes, you can be tested for it, however, at least in Ohio, it's not part of the routine STD testing.

I have been tested for STD stuff 2 or 3 times in the past 8 years. This last time I came up positive for herpes. I was beyond shocked. Anyway, I told my husband about the gift one of his whores gave him. He told me he knew about this for over two decades! And that it was NBD (this coming from a guy who is in the medical field).

When I asked my Doctor about it, why it never showed up before. She reviewed my records and told me that I was never tested for it before.

To this day I have never had any outbreaks to my knowledge.

Just goes to show how much he cares for my well being.

I am sorry for the situation you are in.

Herpes simplex 1 is cold sore virus. Herpes simplex 2 is genital herpes. Don't make my mistake and confuse the two. My W was prescribed the antiviral drug for herpes. I went ballistic. Oops, she showed me herpes simplex 1 test results.

Make sure you know which type you have. Most adults, have herpes simplex 1 -- maybe 80% of us.

OK now ( member #14459) posted at 9:07 PM on Saturday, June 21st, 2014

The fact is you are unlikely to contract herpes unless you had sex with your wife while she was suffering an outbreak, whether it was in the genital area or oral. Sure its not impossible; there are some instances of viral shedding in between attacks; but it is unlikely.

So all is not lost. Maybe you have not contracted this nasty STD. Condoms aren't a complete answer to avoiding this infection either. Just have to be very careful to 'arrange' sex to occur between outbreaks; avoid oral sex and wear a condom anyway.

Remember, if your wife continues cheating and infects another person your wife can be sued. That means you also will share in the financial liability.

Yikes! Scary thought...The financial liability for somebody else's behavior...Nowadays it seems like we have to screen our marriage partner just like we do business partners..

Crime check

STD Check

And just getting to know them.....If they will let us...

More and more I am against the institution of marriage...
