I am horribly technologically challenged. Seriously. It's bad. Some of my questions are so stupid that I'm embarrassed to ask them oftentimes, lol.

So, I have been looking for a survellience camera for my second home for quite some time, and I have always been put off by the thought of setting them up. All the online reviews of almost all the cameras I've looked at are just full of horror stories about the initial 'set up'.

Problem #1 has always been that the cameras I had been looking at had to be linked to a desktop computer before linking to your wireless devices. Well, I have never had a desktop at my second home. We have wifi internet, and just use iPads or iPhones when there. And even if I did have a desktop there, I'm sure I would have never in a million years been able to set it up. All the youtube instructional videos I had watched blew my simple peabrain mind.

So yesterday I was at Walmart and of all places I decided to look at surveillance cameras, and low and behold, I saw one that touted it's super easy, 3 step, directly to your wireless devices, camera! Well, I went ahead and bought it, figuring that all that sounded to good to be true, but I would take the plunge and give it a go.

And guess what???? I DID IT!!!! Yay me!!!!

Super super easy, just like it advertised. I'm still in shock, lol.

Open box.

Take out camera.

Plug in.

Download free camera app to iPhone and iPad.

Set up account.

A barcode thingy shows up on the app.

Hold that barcode in front of the camera for a few seconds.

Camera beeps twice.

Done. Camera is linked to the phone/iPad.

Super simple, thank god.

So now, I can monitor the house from ANYWHERE! It gives notifications of movement with a short video clip. Real time video and audio with pan and tilt capabilities, night vision, the whole kit and caboodle!

I'm so excited!
