Against my better judgement, I allowed myself to get sucked into a conversation with STBX last night, which changes nothing and just allowed me to hear more of how her issues are my fault, blah blah blah. A lot of "I know this is my issue BUT....." type shit.
She's still in the cloud 9 fog not seeing ANY damage from or consequences for her actions. After all, OM and her didn't start their "relationship" until AFTER she screamed at me that she wanted a divorce....on the same day. Never mind that 5 weeks later there still hasn't been any paperwork filed (until the second house closes).
Two steps forward one step back still equals one step forward. In escrow on second house should close within 15-20 days. An additional week for electrical, roof, and siding. 10 seconds from the last roofing nail / siding staple for me to begin unloading her shit in her driveway.
Then freedom my friends. And a trip to the pound to find a LOYAL companion.

I am glad to see that you realize it is not good judgement to engage in a conversation with her.
It will be nice when you two don't have a reason to communicate.
I hope that will feel like a peaceful time for you.
Maybe before the pound trip you can take a nice vacation get away for a week or two. Even if you don't go far.
You deserve a break from all of this, some down time.

I'd love to but between the kids, work, school, etc., and the fact that I just put every penny I have into buying a second home for the kids, there's no time or money for a vacation in the foreseeable future.
Beginning in September the kids will start school and the week on week off schedule will begin. That down time from her and the kids should provide some much needed relaxation.
