Traveling on Thanksgiving made me ask:
What is the difference between an abandoned car on the side of the road with a pink sticker and a car with a towel wedged on the outside of a window?
Does one flag for a tow truck to not tow the car- I am walking to get gas or does it mean feel free to tow?
If the car is there but no towel what does that mean?
I had lots of time to ponder this one

The answer is, of course, 42. Leaving your towel, though, is bad form. You should always know where your towel is.

I disagree, h0peless. I believe the answer to be bacon. Always bacon. Towel optional.

Grace has it.
Bacon is always the first answer.
Yarn is the second (says the yarn whore).

You definitely have to much time on your hands! You could be thinking of ways to achieve world peace.

In North Carolina, if your car breaks down and you need assistance, you are supposed to tie a white cloth to the door handle or hang securely from the window, and put your hood up.
Pink sticker: the car will be towed (sticker placed by state police I believe).
I think people put the white cloth on the car if they intend to come back for it, so that it doesn't get towed.
