I saw that coming. Obviously they only show snippets but there were a million red flags, mainly that the MC told Shannon she needed to stop rehashing it and move on. They rugswept, she wanted to stop 'punishing' him, punishing him being talking about it.
This is what was shown on the episodes surrounding it. It looked like she bought into the idea that she should forgive and move on since he was remorseful, which translated on the show simply as he was sorry and wanted to work things out. It never looked like there was any long-term work being done. They went to that couples retreat and that was it.
We all know that it's not that simple.
DS, you are forever in my heart. Thank you for sharing your beautiful spirit with me. I will always try to live by the example you have set. I love you and miss you every day and am sorry you had to go so soon, it just doesn't seem fair.
